The African Union convened in May 2015 a technical meeting of the continent’s statisticians to prepare Africa’s input to the process of development of indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting was a follow-up to a previous technical expert group meeting held in Pretoria in April and from it emerged an indicator matrix that forms part of Africa’s input into the process.
